The rated website designation is an important way of categorizing articles that are part of the My Government Website project.

It's important to categorize any articles in this project because there's a large amount of data to be collected. If an article you write doesn't get correctly categorized, it might get lost in the shuffle, which means your work won't count.

The rated designation on an article means that someone has added information to the article/page about what they did or did not find on the government website they're evaluating to correspond to each of the points in this Transparency Checklist.

  • [[Category:Rated Oklahoma counties]]
  • [[Category:Rated South Dakota counties]]

Which look like this:

Remove the "starter class" or "partially rated" tag

Chances are, when you do some website evaluating, someone will already have started an article about the municipality or school district you're evaluating, and will have placed either the Categories:Starter class tag or the partially rated tag at the bottom of the article.

When you have partially rated the government website, and are adding the "rated" tag, you should be sure to also remove the now obsolete starter class or partially rated category from the bottom of the Sunshine Review page you're editing.
