Sunshine Law for the electronic era
January 26, 2009: Competing groups were pushing their own plans for the Venice Municipal Airport behind closed doors. When one council member accused two others of violating the Sunshine Law in an e-mail to the Herald-Tribune, Sarasota activist Anthony Lorenzo filed a civil lawsuit. [1]

August 1, 2008: Collier County Circuit Judge Cynthia Ellis ruled Friday morning that not all personal e-mails exchanged on government-owned computers are subject to public review.
