Prince William County Public Schools is a school district in Virginia.

District Salary Controversy

In 2008 the News & Messenger (formerly known as the Potomac News) made a Virginia Freedom of Information Act request for salary information from the school district. The district complied with the request, and the paper published the salary information. After an outcry of anger from school officials and staff that the information was released, the district wants the state to change the FOIA law to exempt non-administrators and those earning lower wages. ^[1]
