Writing on Sunshine Review
Once you are comfortable editing pages, and changing other people's content, why not start some entirely new articles?

There are three main ways to start new pages or articles. Two of them involve using red links. A red link is a link that doesn't exist... yet. It is words placed within double square brackets ("[[" and "]]") that indicate a link to another article on Sunshine Review. When the word or words within the double square brackets lead to another article that already exists on Sunshine Review, they show up in blue. When that article doesn't yet exist on Sunshine Review, the word(s) show up in red.

To use red links to start a new page:

  • If you see a red link on a topic that interests you, click on it. You'll immediately be invited to start a new page on that subject.
  • Find an article on Sunshine Review that connects to the topic you want to post about, and edit it to create a red link. You do this by placing double square brackets around the word or words in that article that you want to have as the title of the new article you'll be starting.
  • For some types of articles, using a template will speed the process.

The third way to start a new article is to type the title of the article in the search box located in the column of links on the far left of your screen. If there is already an article on Sunshine Review that exactly matches the words you type into the search box, you'll be taken to that article. If there is no such article, and if you are logged into Sunshine Review as a registered user, you'll immediately be invited to start one

NOTE: If you're getting ready to start a new page, you might want to familiarize yourself with Sunshine Review's Naming Conventions. This is a list of suggested guidelines on subjects such as which words to capitalize (or not) in the title of your new article. However, if you come up with a title for an article and start that article, and later on, you or another editor realize the title needs tweaking, it is always possible to change the title of the article. (You do this by clicking on the "move" tab on the top of the article and following the directions that appear).
